For English Readers

There is, sadly, not a whole lot of sense in providing an English translation of this page. It describes this summer's "light" opera by Thomas Jahnke, which is full of musical gems pinched from other operas, devoid of boring recitative, has a rewritten libretto a funny plot, and costumes which almost steal the show. However, it is sung in Swedish, so you would unfortunately miss out on some of the fun.

But the music is superb, and the setting one of Stockholm's finest. So why not bring a picnic basket with a bottle of wine (to the Stockholm Town Hall on one of the dates listed above) and enjoy the atmosphere!
