Melaine has been married for 47 years to her husband, Peter, and has 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Throughout her life she always enjoyed writing and 12 years ago began doing so seriously. Having amassed a collection of her own poetry she hopes to be published one day.
No stranger to the arts, she's been asked to read her poetry at a number of events around Montreal, most recently at The Arts Cafe, and was also treated to an evening of reading with Irving Layton at Maimonides Hospital. In addition to her poetry reading, you can find her reading theatrical parts with the rest of a troupe called The Golden Stagers, associated with the McGill Institute of Life-long Learning.
Aside from the arts, her interests include torah study, volunteer work, collecting antiques and compiling vintage jewellery collections.
