We are planning an amazing time for all of us to get together in Montreal to celebrate our friendship, our high school memories
and most of all to catch up on the unique adventures each of us has lived over the past 50 years.

The MRHS59 Reunion Planning Committee is made up of the following: Betty Jost and Don MacLean are advisors.

It has been really fun to be in touch with old friends and everyone seems keen to attend the Reunion in 2009. By mid-April, we hope to have details concerning the When and Where of the Reunion to share with everyone.

In the meantime we are hoping to find the remaining 100 plus of our former classmates and have BIOS from all those alumni who have been found, so that the Reunion Torch can get underway !

Happy 2008 to everyone in the MRHS Class of 59. It seems we have about six months to get organized; and to plan the best 50th Reunion that Mount Royal High has seen yet! (and we hear that there have been some pretty good ones recently. ) By June we hope to have at least the date, place and activities settled, so that we can all book the times in our diaries/wall calendars, or wherever we do our booking. We need also to have some idea as to how many people to plan for. That means we all have to roll up our sleeves and round up as many Grads as possible. There's no reason why we shouldn't be able to locate all 204 members of the graduating class, if we set our minds to it!

Our Web-Master, Don MacLean (who lives in Sweden) has worked hard for a couple years, putting together the MRHS59 site. He's been encouraging and even cajolling alumni to sign up and send in their "Bios" for the Half-Century Torch, which we hope to be able to publish on CD in time for the reunion.

David Vineberg (in Vancouver) has found a lot of people so far. They've got the ball rolling, and now it's up to all of us to spread the word "from Hither to Yon" (to quote Dr. Seuss.)

Most important points are WHEN and WHERE. We are leaning towards Labour Day Week-end, Sept 2009, and we are presently thinking of a location in or near the Town of Mount Royal, since the school is located there (albeit under a bit different name). But we are willing to look at other suggestions.

We will keep you posted as details are decided.
